A computer vision diagnostic tool that identifies tuberculosis, pneumonia, emphysema, pneumothorax, and hemothorax from X-rays with high fidelity. Named after another Aesir god whose famed eyes could’ve led to the discovery of cancer were it not for his tunnel vision of Ragnarok.

This was my hobbyist project. I needed to get contacts from Whatsapp groups instantaneously, and I ended up spending a night building this tool, and discovering the beauty of Selenium.

Internship Posting

Internship posting for medical, dental, and pharmacy interns was a nationwide challenge that resulted in the 2024 Kenya Medical Practitioners’, Pharmacists’, and Dentists’ Union nationwide strike. I made this tool partly because the Ministry of Health kept stating a budgeting challenge that was a consequence of missed prediction, and partly because I strongly believe in creating solutions, and complaining less when it comes to challenges and problems.

Nathan Drake had his humble beginnings, and so did I. I built my first Django web application, and shared it on both TestPyPI and PyPI.

Mimir

Large Language Models, and chatbots, and ChatGPT, and ‘AI’ are thrown around like buzzwords in most conversations centred around artificial intelligence, and the blackbox that is Levenstein distancing and LLMs is intriguing. I made this chatbot with support for my homecity’s most widely spoken language, Sheng’, because language is deeply personal. And we relate best using this cultural concept and tool. This is for all my fellow Nairobians. My longterm vision is to transform this corpus into a health educational tool for my city’s, and country’s people. Named after the famed Aesir god for his legendary chattiness, wit, and knowledge.
